GEORGRAPHY:

Bharat:
A vast peninsula of extreme riches and resources filled with tribes of various cultures living in a semblance of peace. Geographically segmented into 16 significant plateaus of civilization. These states were known as the Mahajanpads; people from around the peninsula would travel to these states to seek livelihood. Trade from other continents and countries would flow through these hubs, rendering them into cornucopias of cultural heritage.

Bajra:
A small town in modern day Rajasthan. North of Surasena.

TRIBES & CHARACTERS:
Yadavas:

A herd of various tribes: Haihaya, Vrishni, Shashabindu, Kukura, Chedi, Vidarbha, Satvakas, Andhakasm and Bhojas. They control the Surasena Mahajanpad.

Vrishni:
A sub-sect of the Yadavas. Akrura, Balarama, Krishna, Yuyudhana and Parasurama belong to the Vrishni clan.

Ugrasena:
Current monarch of the Surasena Mahajanpad. Grandfather to the Yadava brothers and father of Kamsa.

Akrura:
Spy chief of the Narayani Sena. Uncle to the Yadava brothers.

Parasurama:
Commander of the Vrishni Special Forces.

Balarama:
Elder brother of Krishna. Battle hardened and next in line to the throne of Surasena. Also referred to as ‘Adisesh/Elder Yadava’.

Krishna:
Younger brother to Balarama. Defecto go-to man of the royals. Also referred to as the ‘Younger Yadava’.

Arjuna:
Nephew of the Yadava brothers. Pandava prince and ace archer of Hastinapur

Satrajit:
Chief scientist of Surasena. An old friend of Anantha.

Yuyudhana:
A young man from the Vrishni settlement in Bajra.

Kamsa:
Former monarch of the Surasena Mahajanpad. Uncle of the Yadava brothers and son of Ugrasena.

Jarasandha:
Current monarch of the Magadha Mahajanpad. Father-in-law of Kamsa.

Shishupala:
King of Chedi, a former ally to Yadavas. Current ally of Jarasandha.

Vijayendra:
Commander of Magadhan army.

Anantha Swami:
A Ramanandi Sadhu from Ayodhya. Ramanandi Sadhus are followers of Lord Ram.

Bhargava Rama:
A Naga Sadhu from the Himalayas. Naga Sadhus are followers of Lord Shiva.

Satyasariyar:
A Ramanandi leader. Anantha’s guru.

Romapada:
Current monarch of the Anga Mahajanpad. Childhood friend of Ugrasena.

Drupada:
Current monarch of the Panchal Mahajanpad. Ally of Yadavas. Father-in-law of Arjuna.

MYTHOLOGICAL TERMINOLOGY:

Akshauhini:
An akshauhini is a battle formation consisting of 21,870 chariots; 21,870 elephants; 65,610 horses and 109,350 infantry.

Narayani Sena:
An army consisting of all the Yadava tribes. Headed by Balarama. 5 akshauhini in size.

Prakrit:
A language from the time of Krishna. It is said Sanskrit, Tamil and Bengali originated from this language.

Vijaya:
A gatekeeper of Lord Vishnu. Re-incarnation as Dantavakra.

Jaya:
A gatekeeper of Lord Vishnu. Brother of Vijaya. Re-incarnation as Shishupala.

Satyaki:
A powerful chieftain of the Narayani Sena. Student of Arjuna. Fights on the Pandava side in the Mahabaharat.

Ikshvakus:
The lineage of Lord Ram.
